Welcome to Rajo Society

Rajo Society is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Mogadishu, Banadir region. Founded in mid-2013 by a group of dedicated intellectuals and community members from Mogadishu and South-Central Somalia, the organization is committed to advancing sustainable development and social empowerment.

 

The core philosophy of Rajo Society is to enhance the role of Somali women and youth in social, economic, health, and political spheres, recognizing that they are among the most vulnerable and disproportionately affected by complex challenges.

 

In addition, Rajo Society is dedicated to strengthening community resilience through programs focused on education, environmental sustainability, healthcare services, and emergency response to crises such as displacement, droughts, and conflicts.

A word from Fatuma

Firstly, I thank Rajo society and all partners involve for the this wonderful projects, I also thank all the project facilitators for being a great change to us the youth. I advise the organizers to widen their operation margin to whole Somalia for the skill training is what most of us the youths need, we have the potential to make a change but we lack the trainings and skills, my future plan is to join politics, I will use the knowledge I have acquired in community mobilization to achieve my objective

I always wanted to be a human right activist, I see a lot of atrocities in my area, most of my relatives are being targeted by the authorities unfairly, I dint know any single media that I can report to, now I know and I will be reporting every single atrocities, I will be the voice of my people, the human right training skill benefitted me a lot, I wish I could more trainings like this, I thank Rajo society and the partners for making this dream pass
